La presse builidng at the old port of Montreal. The oldest newspaper in Canada, the building was purchased by international shipping company MSC and underwent a 2 year extensive renovation and refurbishment. We were hired to restore the original entry way which had been badly damaged. The repairs were so extensive that is was decided the best way to complete this project would be with a faux finish. As this was a complex restoration with many wood workers involved, the faux finish was seen as the best way to unify the original wood work with all the new updated wood work. With the faux finish we were still able to capture the antique feel of the vestibule while also having the new rejuvenated look of a refinished piece.
