estoration of landmarked townhouse in Flatbush Brooklyn. Techniques used were to strip all surfaces with infrared paint strippers, and repaint with linseed oil paint system. Linseed oil paint is superior to modern petroleum based paint products in that it will never peel or flake. It is much easier to maintain overtime often only needing a single coat to refresh it once it has dried out (after many years). These products are all natural and are therefore more enviromentally to produce and to dispose of. Using the linseed oil paint system we custom mixed our colours to match the specified Benjamin Moore colour pallette. The dormer windows had many makeshift repairs over the years as well as some rotting wood that needed to be replaced. We made new faithful reproductions of the original woodwork to bring the exterior back to its original glory.
